A decades old murder case appears to have been cracked by HPD Cold Case Squad.

A Houston woman, who was only 7 when her father was murdered… got the ball rolling with a single phone call.

Sgt. Mike Peters worked the case for months… and tracked down the suspect in the 1984 murder. He saw an extensive arrest record for the guy in South Carolina. U.S. Marshals then picked up the investigation and physically located and arrested the man.

Was he living the high life?

Not exactly.

Perez has been arrested… not convicted of  murder.

Ferrufino was wanted for felony injury of a child. Investigators say he shook his baby boy hard enough to cause a brain injury. Bond is set at $30,000.

He was featured on the Wheel of Justice one week ago. Harris County investigators (HCSO Criminal Warrants Division) found Ferrufino at a Southeast side home this afternoon.

As of 12/2/09, Ferrufino has been charged, not convicted of this crime.

We featured 28 year old Anthony Jackson in early November.

Days later, a tip came in. Jackson was in Atlanta.

Harris County Sheriffs investigators brought him back today. We happened to be in the area.

In the video, Jackson says he turned himself in, investigators say that is not true… they had to hunt him down acting on a tip.

Jackson is accused and charged with “promotion of child pornography” (taking inappropriate photos of a minor and posting them on the internet). Jackson is also accused and charged with sexual assault.

His bond is set at $200,000.

Jackson has been charged not convicted of these crimes.

Tonight’s Wheel of Justice case focuses on a fugitive accused of getting into one heck of a scrap with a local police officer.

New Caney isn’t a big place. If you live there, you know your neighbor.

Well, the neighbors are having a problem… after an unending series of petty crimes that may be a sign of the times.

Investrgators have a suspect… they just can’t seem to find him.

This case is scheduled to air on the Wheel of Justice Monday, 11/16 at Ten.

South Houston police said Byron Q. Brown, 37, was charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He remains jailed on a $240,000 bond.

Investigators said Brown hit three stores in South Houston in broad daylight from Sept. 16 to Oct. 2, and he may be connected to as many as 13 in the Houston area.

Police say Brown is the same man who appeared as the “Hobby Shell” Robber on the Wheel of Justice on 9/9/09.

Investigators say tonight’s fugitive on the Wheel of Justice made a sexual advance toward a man in a Westside Houston apartment.

The man refused.

The suspect then came back with a gun and shot him 4 times, according to federal investigators.

Noah Cameron... Wanted for Aggravated Assault

He was dubbed the “Big Man” Robber by investigators… because of his size.

I don’t care if he’s big, small, tall or short…. he’s catch number 188.

Police say he robbed Houston area:

CVS Stores, Walgreen’s, HEBs, and Shipley’s Donuts.

 He’s held without bond on three counts of aggravated robbery (as of 10/6/09)

Fester has not been convicted of these crimes, only charged.

The fugitive previously known as "Big Man"...

... identified as Steven Fester, 38.
