Swine Flu test @ Harris County Jail

There has been plenty of talk lately about avoiding large groups of people… especially in confined spaces.

The logic is that sickness (Swine Flu, in this case) can spread more rapidly in these sorts of settings.

But what if you don’t have a choice?

Of course if you’re in jail or prison you really don’t have many options. So these days jails are monitoring ailing inmates carefully.

At the Harris County Jail (main facility, on Baker)…

fellow reporter, Robert Arnold, tells me two inmates are now in isolation with flu-like symptoms. They are being tested for Swine Flu.

As of this post… It is unclear whether the inmates have Swine Flu.

Immediate Isolation from the general population is key…
